چکیده
French bean is one of the most important staple foods in many parts world. Among several bacterial, fungal and viral diseases, anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum lindemuthianum widespread severe disease bean. Therefore, present study was undertaken as prebreeding effort with objective introgression resistance gene Co-4 elite cultivar. Hybridization between resistant genotype, TO having cultivar Arka Komal done. Cross × further advanced to generate, F1, BC1F1, BC2F1 BC2F2 plants. Testing hybridity resultant plants/pods using linked SCAR marker SY20 resulted identification 46 gene-positive BC2F2. Further foreground selection revealed lack segregation for target 16 progenies. Screening these homozygous progenies (Co-4 gene) following detached pod germinated seed dip methods race 3 C. validated imparted all BC2F3 Agronomic evaluation BC2F4 8 qualitative traits 9 quantitative led AKTO 4, 5, 7 43 better background. These can either be used donors pyramiding or backcrossing develop essentially derived variety parent, Komal.

Mapping and Genetic Structure Analysis of the Anthracnose Resistance Locus Co-1HY in the Common Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)
Anthracnose is a destructive disease of the common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). The Andean cultivar Hongyundou has been demonstrated to possess strong resistance to anthracnose race 81. To study the genetics of this resistance, the Hongyundou cultivar was crossed with a susceptible genotype Jingdou. Segregation of resistance for race 81 was assessed in the F2 population and F2:3 lines under co...
متن کاملGene/QTL discovery for Anthracnose in common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) from North-western Himalayas
Common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) is one of the most important grain legume crops in the world. The beans grown in north-western Himalayas possess huge diversity for seed color, shape and size but are mostly susceptible to Anthracnose disease caused by seed born fungus Colletotrichum lindemuthianum. Dozens of QTLs/genes have been already identified for this disease in common bean world-wide. ...
متن کاملCandidate Gene Identification with SNP Marker-Based Fine Mapping of Anthracnose Resistance Gene Co-4 in Common Bean
Anthracnose, caused by Colletotrichum lindemuthianum, is an important fungal disease of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris). Alleles at the Co-4 locus confer resistance to a number of races of C. lindemuthianum. A population of 94 F4:5 recombinant inbred lines of a cross between resistant black bean genotype B09197 and susceptible navy bean cultivar Nautica was used to identify markers associated ...
متن کاملGenome-Wide Association Studies of Anthracnose and Angular Leaf Spot Resistance in Common Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.).
The common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) is the world's most important legume for human consumption. Anthracnose (ANT; Colletotrichum lindemuthianum) and angular leaf spot (ALS; Pseudocercospora griseola) are complex diseases that cause major yield losses in common bean. Depending on the cultivar and environmental conditions, anthracnose and angular leaf spot infections can reduce crop yield dra...

A seed and flower color marker (P), nine seed protein, nine isozyme and 224 restriction fragment length polymorphism marker loci were used to construct a linkage map of the common bean, Phaseolus vulgaris L. (n = 11). The mapping population consisted of a backcross progeny between the Mesoamerican breeding line 'XR-235-1-1' and the Andean cultivar 'Calima'; the former was used as the recurrent ...
